ZOO-REACH Community Programs

Zoo-Rific Discovery  Pre K
This 30 minute presentation introduces your students to fun and informative animal facts about movement, body parts and textures. Includes bio-facts, storytime and a live animal encounter. Follow-up your visit with some of our post visit activities!
    Cost: $100 (Includes Zoo admission fees for students, teachers and adult chaperones)
    Days Available: Wednesday and Friday
    Morning Times: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m.   Afternoon Times: 1 p.m., 2 p.m.
    Limit: 25 students max

Animal Discovery Tour  K - 6th grades
During this 1 hour, 30 minute tour, your class will learn about adaptations, habitats and conservation, explore bio-facts, experience a live animal encounter and discover the animals at Micke Grove Zoo.
    Cost: $150 (Includes Zoo admission fees for students, teachers and adult chaperones)
    Days Available: Wednesday and Friday
    Times: 9:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m.
    Limit: 30 students max

Zoo To You!  2nd - 3rd grades
Can't come to the Zoo? Bring the Zoo into your classroom! During this 45-minute presentation, MGZ staff will introduce reptiles and amphibians to your class through an engaging standards-based talk, hands on observation of bio-facts, and a live animal encounter.
    Cost: $150 for 1st class / $75 for each additional class on same visit
    Days Available: Tuesday and Thursday
    Times: During regular school hours
    Limit: 35 students per classroom  

Wild and About! Community Outreach  
If you are having a community or school event for families and children we would like to attend! Our community outreach booth provides information on the Zoo and our animals, biofact displays, conservation games and more. Service provided at no cost. Call to register your event with our staff at least three weeks in advance.
