Fun Animal Facts
Marmosets have a unique tooth structure that enables them
to bit through bark to feed on tree gum and sap. They have keen
eyesight, good hearing, and a good sense of smell. Nails on each toe
are claw-like, enabling them to be expert climbers. Breeding adults
are monogamous and the family group helps raise the young
cooperatively. At feeding time, the males transfer the young to the
mother and then accepts the young back again after nursing.
